Microaggressions +

negging and incivilities

As organisations progress toward diversity and inclusion, employees frequently arrest that process with unthinking actions.  Throwaway remarks from Agism to Zoom comments on home decor may seem harmless to the perpetrator. Still, the evidence shows that they create a hostile culture. And can constitute discrimination, bullying, and harassment. So, micro behaviours create macro problems. This successful programme, designed from lived experience, helps companies to develop a fair, inclusive workplace that allows people to thrive.

About This Workshop

In this three-hour workshop, we will explore

  • What are microaggressions and negging?
  • Microaggressions towards people of colour and women.

  • Professional behaviour and boundaries at work.
  • Recognising microaggressions when you see them.
  • Steps to take when you see microaggressions, negging and incivilities.

You will learn to leverage your power, to advocate for yourself and your colleagues and create impactful change, minimising the harm caused by microaggressions and other incivilities

We have designed these workshops for corporate training, and businesses book them for private sessions for their teams. If the event is being made public, you can find out about it at Public Speaking & Events here.

As a goal of our workshops is creating a safer space, we generally do not allow filming any of our live events. That is because experience has shown that it would likely inhibit the feeling of safety and privacy required by attendees to participate fully.
